Introducing The Marché Tote from PDV Privé

It’s an exciting day at Plan de Ville! Today we are introducing the Marché Tote, the first piece from PDV Privé: our new collaborative private label dedicated to spotlighting emerging designers.

What I love the most about what Plan de Ville stands for is that our team gets to focus on bringing you new, limited edition pieces from the most talented emerging designers in the world. Whether that is a beautiful shoe made in an Italian factory, or a dress that you turn to again and again that was handmade in New York City, curating the best pieces by emerging designers is our heart and soul. Some of our designers produce pieces that are one-of-a-kind with special stones, limited-run fabrics, or a season-specific material. As I embarked on getting my MBA at Columbia Business School, I was introduced to new ways of thinking and frameworks to empower business growth. While we are focused on growing our curated product offering from our designers, our business also needed to cultivate a product line that our team could optimize in terms of the supply chain, offering our audience pieces that we could restock again and again. As we grow as a business, it becomes important to integrate the element of scale and a diversity of price-points, and the idea of starting our own product-focused initiative, in which designers are invited to contribute design work, became a new exciting chapter for our business.

So, that brings us to today! After more than a year of research and development, we’re launching our first product edition today with The Marché Tote, inspired by the shape of the classic French market tote, and the preferences of our amazing audience. During the final design approval period, I asked you for your thoughts through a series of Insta Stories, and you gave such wonderful feedback on colors and price points.

Designed in New York City and manufactured in the USA using domestic and European materials, PDV Privé is a line of elevated essentials and statement pieces designed for (and inspired by) our incredible clients and supporters. All purchases from PDV Privé help us fulfill our mission of spotlighting emerging designers from across the globe, and future capsule releases from PDV Privé will be designed in collaboration with featured emerging designers. I’m so excited about the chance to give our designers a new way to partner with us on products that are created specifically for our customers, using consumer preferences and sales data to help the brands we work with grow and expand their reach.

We’ve already lined up an incredible network of production partners, specifically ones that focus on plus-size advisory, which is something that the majority of our emerging designers would like to focus on, but don’t currently have the framework to do so. We’re working behind the scenes on apparel that will be offered in a range of sizes from 0 to 30, but until we have that absolutely perfected we’re going to focus on accessories inspired by you.

Plan de Ville is the online destination for luxury fashion by emerging designers. Launched in 2014, the e-commerce company focuses on providing awareness and visibility for the world’s most exciting emerging fashion brands and acts as a source of unique and elevated products for clients around the globe.
