Career Stories with Julianna Bass

VIDEO: Happy 2018, you! It’s January and that means it’s time for new resolutions, commitments to making the new year even better than your last, and for discovering new women who inspire us all. I am so honored to have had the chance to sit down with fashion designer Julianna Bass, an inspiring and artful designer who recently debuted on Plan de Ville. I caught up with her in her Soho studio to learn about her career journey, her advice for women in their careers, and how she manages her team and business. Check out our interview!

What are your tips for women starting out in their careers?

“Especially if you’re starting out in a creative field, you don’t want to forgo any of the serious CEO responsibilities…when you’re creative it’s easy to get caught up in what you love the most and nurture that side and push the other to the back burner. Just remember, it is a business at the end of the day. So you have to devote time to the things that you might not be as most interested in.”
