Every season on Plan de Ville we introduce a few new designers who have created beautiful and unique pieces that I believe will resonate with women. This season we’ve debuted a beautiful edit of pieces by Julianna Bass.
Here are a few of those pieces, as photographed by Lydia Hudgens in New York City.
The Rachel Jumpsuit: This modern and elegant (though a bit racy on me!) jumpsuit is a fantastic option for the woman who wants to stand out this holiday season. The beautiful navy crepe fabric resists wrinkles and is so flattering. I love Julianna’s signature minimal touch of sheer, beige mesh which makes this daring silhouette so easy to wear. You could wear this to a party or special event and layer a satin tuxedo jacket on top.
The Meghan Dress and The Anna Coat are two pieces from this edit that are most closely aligned to my personal style. I love ladylike dresses, and while I am trying to wear less black (and integrate prints!) this dress still makes me feel like a minimalist. The artful print is a mix of some of my favorite colors: navy, warm berry tones, and soft white.
The Nicolette Gown: Black tie ready? Now you are! This dreamy gown is very wearable, and it’s the kind of dress you can keep in your wardrobe forever. Whenever I’m invited to a black tie event I always cringe – what do I possibly wear?! I know that might sound silly coming from me, but the reality is dressing for evening is challenging, and I think the best solution to always feel prepared to accept an invitation is to have one or two statement evening looks that you can wear many times. Avoid statement gowns as investments and look for a dress that you can wear many times over years to come. With it’s dramatic sleeves and slight train, flattering off-the-shoulder neckline and seasonless navy color, The Nicolette definitely passes my style test!
